Can't recommend this hotel highly enough. We stayed here for 3 nights and the location is brilliant being so close to town and despite this our room was very quiet.
The hotel is also decorated and presented. It looks amazing, and there is a lovely seating area with free use of a coffee machine. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It wasn't the biggest room, and keep in mind you need to live out of your suitcase and storage is very limited. There were a few too many cushions, which were very pretty but took up a lot of space!
The spiral staircase down to our room was very tight and narrow, and if you have mobility issues, you may wish to mention when booking to get a room in another part of the hotel.
Breakfast was amazing, not cheap, but got loads of choice and was delicious! Really enjoyed our stay and we didn't want to leave. Also, having on-site parking was useful!

Good location near the shops and restaurants, friendly staff. Room was a good size, not too noisy even though overlooking the street. Coffee machine downstairs where you can help yourself to tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Very nice stay!
What a pleasant surprise. Hotel Janssen is the very definition of a true “family run” hotel. Yvonne and family made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was fantastic. The beds super comfy and warm. The decor in the lounge and breakfast area was so so tasteful and homely. Highly recommend. A real gem. Can’t wait to go back.
Stayed here based on Google reviews and wow they were all correct!!! Such an amazing hotel, wonderful owner and staff, cute room with a balcony, so close to the castle ruins, delicious breakfast, easy to access drinks and snacks in the kitchen, free all you can drink coffee... I can go on and on!! We loved it here so much, we have changed future plans to stay here again. Absolutely the best hotel we have ever stayed in, and look forward to many future trips.
BTW, breakfast is a must!

Perfect location! Owners are super nice. They served an amazing breakfast! Lounge has cool kids playing area and board games to play. Wifi on 3rd floor not working very well.
Had a lovely stay in this nice hotel. Everything was available, from hair dryer to mini bar downstairs and the location in superb for a stay in Valkenburg: right in the city centre. The staff is really kind and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Loved it.

And the best part is the room, were very well maintained and cleaned.
